VPNs
A VPN client sits between you and the internet, so check what you install. Some apps come with a paid service; others are clients for a server you or your employer runs. These 7 apps link to the download location named in the publisher’s package data, with checksums on each page.

What you’ll find here
This page covers VPN clients and tunnel tools for Windows and macOS: apps tied to a subscription service, clients for OpenVPN and WireGuard, and mesh networking tools. Every app has its own page with the publisher’s download links, SHA-256 checksums, and code-signature and VirusTotal results where we have them.
The 7 apps listed here are Cloudflare One Client, Mullvad VPN, NordVPN, OpenVPN Connect, Proton VPN, Tailscale, and WireGuard. All 7 run on Windows, and 6 also on macOS. Of these, 4 are open source. Between them the site lists 260 versions. Older versions are mostly available for Windows; for macOS the current release is usually the one listed. Everyversion hosts no installers: every download button goes to the download location named in the publisher’s package data, normally the publisher’s own server. For all 7 we downloaded the installers ourselves and re-computed their SHA-256.
