What you’ll find here
This page covers audio editing and music production software for Windows and macOS: recorders and editors, digital audio workstations (DAWs), DJ software and music notation. Each app has its own page with versions, installers, checksums and release notes where the publisher provides them.
The 5 apps listed here are Audacity, LMMS, Mixxx, MuseScore, and REAPER. All 5 run on Windows, and 4 also on macOS. Of these, 4 are open source. Between them the site lists 139 versions. Older versions are mostly available for Windows; for macOS the current release is usually the one listed. Everyversion hosts no installers: every download button goes to the download location named in the publisher’s package data, normally the publisher’s own server. For all 5 we downloaded the installers ourselves and re-computed their SHA-256.
