What the installer does

Windows

• Delivered as an NSIS (Nullsoft) setup program (.exe) for x64 and ARM64.
• Installs for the current user only, so administrator rights are normally not needed.
• No custom silent switch is declared; winget falls back to its default for this installer type (/S).
• Registers the todoist:// link protocol.
• Upgrades install over the existing version.

Mac

• Delivered as a disk image (.dmg) for Intel (x64) and Apple silicon (ARM64).
• Installs the app Todoist.app into the Applications folder.
• Requires macOS 12 or later.
• The app updates itself, so it may be newer than the version Homebrew lists.
• A full “zap” removal also deletes up to 8 support, cache and preference locations in your home folder.
