What the installer does

Windows

• Delivered as an Inno Setup program (.exe) for x64.
• Installs for all users on the PC, which normally requires administrator rights.
• The installer asks Windows for administrator rights itself.
• Supports unattended install with /VERYSILENT.
• Declared install modes: interactive, silent, and silentWithProgress.
• Associates with the file types .3mf and .stl.
• Upgrades install over the existing version.

Mac

• Delivered as a disk image (.dmg) for Apple silicon and Intel.
• Installs the app Original Prusa Drivers/PrusaSlicer.app into the Applications folder.
• On uninstall, Homebrew asks the app to quit.
• A full “zap” removal also deletes up to 3 support, cache and preference locations in your home folder.

PrusaSlicer (formerly known as Slic3r Prusa Edition or Slic3r PE) is our own in-house developed slicer software based on the open-source project Slic3r. PrusaSlicer is an open-source, feature-rich, frequently updated tool that contains everything you need to export the perfect print files for your Original Prusa 3D printer.
