We host no installers
Every download button points to the publisher’s own server. We can’t see, change or guarantee what is on the other end. If a publisher removes a file, the link may stop working.
Checksums are a check, not a guarantee
A matching SHA-256 tells you the file is the same one that was recorded upstream. It doesn’t prove the file is safe. Today our checksums are copied from upstream manifests (we call this verification level 0), and we don’t yet re-compute them or check code signatures. Each app page shows its status.
Staying safe with older versions
- Older versions may have known security flaws. Prefer them for offline or low-risk use.
- Download only from the publisher link on the page.
- Compare the checksum before you run anything.
- Be careful with software that talks to the internet or opens files from strangers.
Licenses
Each app page shows the license the publisher states. Having a link to a version doesn’t give you the right to use it in ways its license forbids.
