What the installer does

Windows

Delivered as an Inno Setup program (.exe) for x64 and ARM64.
Offers both a per-user and an all-users installer.
No custom silent switch is declared; winget falls back to its default for this installer type (/SP- /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /NORESTART).
Adds the command-line command code.

macOS

Delivered as a download whose format the URL does not state for Intel (x64) and Apple silicon (ARM64).
Installs the app Visual Studio Code.app into the Applications folder.
Adds the command-line tools code and code-tunnel when installed with Homebrew.
The app updates itself, so it may be newer than the version Homebrew lists.
On uninstall, Homebrew asks the app to quit and stops background services.
A full “zap” removal also deletes up to 10 support, cache and preference locations in your home folder.
